Tamarillos. Fresh from our tree to your table.

Tamarillos, also known as the ‘tree tomato’, are without a doubt the most obscure product grown on our orchard. But don’t hold that against them. With a tart and variably sweet flesh the tamarillo can best be described as a cross between a passionfruit and a tomato.

Originating in South America, these sub-tropical fruits managed to become so popular in New Zealand that some Kiwi’s even spread it on toast for breakfast! Tamarillos haven’t quite reached the same status amongst Australians yet…But hopefully over the next few years we can convince a few more Australians to start eating our obscure little tree tomatoes.
